I cannot believe I recognize many of the names of posters here through all the years and whiskey. Okay, mostly whiskey.

Sooo, how's everyone been?

PS - Joli still scares me.

Either no one remembers me, or you all still hate me for leaving...

I'm banking on the latter...

I hope you guys are all doing well, and good luck in Eve.

Hi mate :) its just that noone reads this board (daily)

What IS it about the fall that reminds people of Arrow?

Wow... so I totally forgot I made the two posts way long ago. Scary, but I still remember making fun of Terranus for his name. Wow, those were the days...

And Thirler and all the times I read his name and thought it said 'Thriller' ...

Well, life for me is going well. Life for my computer on the other hand... I built it in Sept. of 2008 and something has died but I haven't had time to figure out what yet. PSU or HD maybe, those are my guesses.

How's this Eve Online game work? Is it really a lot of fun? How much time is really necessary to be put in on a daily/weekly basis? What's the cost per month?

I used to play World of Warcrack but I gave that up nearly a year ago. There was just something about playing a game that was, 50% of the time, a lot of fun but the other 50% of the time I wanted to stab something out of frustration. They've also kind of ruined the game in a sense with some of the changes they made before I quit.

Anyways, hopefully I can remember to check this out in a week or so to see if anyone responds!

So I've decided I want to check this game out, it looks rather interesting. I'm downloading the client now, can someone kindly point me in the right direction of what home area I want to start with in case I decide to keep playing and want to reunite with those of you that I remember?

Fear not Murdoc, I won't be around. I tried the game out but I quickly realized that the free trial wasn't really the full game because they limit quite a few things out of it, which is just silly. I did not really enjoy the game too much to be honest.

That, and my app to Arrow was rejected because 'we dont accept self referrals' and even that took 4 weeks. Either your development team is still a little green in the Arrow history or you didn't teach them the 'dark' part of Arrow's history.

Hope all is well with you guys and that you're all enjoying the game.

Could you name a few of those things, and why you would want to use them?

It's been almost 5 years since Arrow moved on. Few of the current Arrow members have played Earth, even fewer played Earth with Arrow. To suggest that all directors should be told about every old Arrow member is madness.

Arrow's policy is that every applicant needs a sponser. If you'd really want to join Arrow, it shouldn't be too hard for you to find one.

Estel - For one of the missions I did I had to build a ship. I later found out I couldn't even use that ship. I want to see it was a frigate or frigate class, but that was a few weeks ago so I'm not entirely sure on the details.

As far as my other comment, that was meant more as a joke than anything. I was certainly not trying to insult your or anyone else. Arrow policy is Arrow policy, that's fine and that's totally acceptable. What kind of does not make sense then is, if that is policy, why did it take 4 weeks for them to say no?

In any case, I don't really care - It makes no difference now because I chose not to continue playing. The game reminded me of an old (scratch that, REALLY old) PC game I used to play named Privateer. It brought back lots of old memories of that game but that was really about all it did for me.

Sounds like a skill issue, not a trial restriction. The only real trial restriction is on industrials. Some other ship skills are restricted, but they are way too advanced to even be able to fly during a trial.

Due to its skill system EVE can be a bit slow to start. It'll take a while before you're out of the "damn, I need another skill for that" phase, but that's what makes EVE EVE.

If EVE is not for you, so be it; you should never play a game you don't like.
But if you stopped playing because you feel you're somehow restricted due to lack of skills/knowledge/isk, that can be helped.

Privateer 2 was perhaps the greatest (and most under-rated) computer game of all time. I don't think I've ever been engaged so thoroughly and for so long by any other single-player game.
